First working at the door of OstGut and later continuing his shifts at Berghain, Sven Marquardt has had a significant influence on club culture since the late 1990s. In regards to aesthetics, his photography had a much stronger impact on Ostgut Ton artists’ public perception. Here, Marquardt collages musical inspirations of his work night and day: music as a companion before and after a Klubnacht, as inspiration for and in preparation of many of his photo sessions, visions and projects.
