Rahim Redcar, formerly known as Christine and the Queens, is a prominent voice on the contemporary music scene whose work is characterized by a subtle fusion of pop, electro and R&B. Born and raised in Nantes, he connected early on with the queer art and drag scene, having a lasting impact on his artistic work. His international breakthrough came in 2014 with his debut album Chaleur Humaine. Redcar's music, which he describes as “freakpop”, is characterized by a constant examination of gender issues and his own identity. With his recently released album Hopecore, he's now taking to the dancefloors for the first time with passionate vocals, which can be experienced live at this edition of Klubnacht on early Sunday evening at Säule. Francisco Fernández Araya aka Zisko, one of the most popular younger techno DJs in Argentina, will be joining us again. During his set a year ago, he won new fans with his distinctive track selection, ending his bouncy set with a few disco tracks.
