This month, Wata Igarashi is releasing his first album on Dekmantel, entitled My Supernova. Thirteen years after his initial productions, he refines his characteristic sound of driving rhythms and psychedelic arpeggios. According to Igarashi, the album was created like an “explosion in the head,” deliberately composed as a cohesive listening experience. After the experimental Agartha (Kompakt, 2023), he returns to his techno essence: meditative, energetic and emotional at the same time. In addition to Igarashi, tonight's Klubnacht also features a reunion with Kirilik, the techno side project of Strahil Velchev aka KiNK. Under this banner, he released two maxis on Len Faki's label Figure six years ago and explores different performance setups than with his main project: a hybrid DJ/live setup that combines drum machines, modular Eurorack synths and CDJs. Ash Scholem and Gacha Bakradze, two Georgian house DJs, will be playing at Panorama Bar for the first time. In their hometown of Tbilisi, they co-founded the club and community space Left Bank, which in recent years has become an integral location for the underground music scene in the region.
