LOVE ON THE ROCKS

Since the early 00s, James Zabiela from Southampton, UK has evolved into one of club music's great storytellers with his advanced technical skills and broad musical taste. His dazzling sets mix breakbeat memories, dubby textures and warm, pulsating melodies. While others oscillate between functional house and techno, Zabiela builds bridges between emotion, nostalgia and futuristic sonic architecture. On his impressive mix Balance 029 (2019), he bridges the gap between Claude Debussy, B12, Talaboman and Truncate. Technology is central to his approach, making extensive use of effects, loops, live editing, Ableton Live and various controllers in his sets. Zabiela will be playing at Panorama Bar for the first time at this edition of PARAMIDA's Love on the Rocks.
