The Polari label, founded by Cormac, is once again taking over Panorama Bar for a night. Named after the sociolect of British gay subculture of the 19th and 20th century, the label pursues a musical line that beams historical house references into the present. As the central figure of Amsterdam's IsBurning club series, Carlos Valdes delivers an eclectic mix combining Detroit techno nuances with classic house vocals. Mute-signed artist HAAi has evolved from her psychedelic beginnings to a hybrid sound that oscillates between technoid rhythms and complex, atmospheric textures, as underscored on her latest album Humanise. As a resident of London's Adonis parties, Michelle Manetti pushes a certain brand of uncompromising acid and house that references the raw energy of the early UK rave days. Romain FX, the mastermind behind Fauve Records, is a globetrotter between Hong Kong and Europe whose selections are heavily influenced by Italo disco and obscure 80s edits. Rounding out the lineup is Irish-born, Berlin-based Sally C with her obsession for distinctive bass lines and the raw hip-house sound of the late 80s and early 90s.
