For this edition of Finest Friday at Panorama Bar, curated by Fadi Mohem, Belgian producer Phara presents In Glass, a live project that formally departs from the raw, modular purism of his previous releases on Token and SK Eleven. Instead, he layers softer, more harmonious soundscapes that incorporate influences from dub techno and ambient without losing the energy of the dancefloor. It’s immediately clear why his deep grooves and chords resonate with Fadi’s taste. His live gig is flanked by DJ sets from Christian AB, Cologne-based Basswerk founder Separat and Tasha: the London-based founder of Neighbourhood balances robust UK techno with the broken rhythms that carry the legacy of British bass music.
