The open-door policy of the WSNWG LIVE nights at Berghain continues with this third edition: Rødhåd invites a handful of like-minded producers who, throughout the night, join in and drop out of a shared, improvised stream of sound via a central mixing console. Alongside established producers such as Jochem Paap aka Speedy J – who, with his STOOR platform, has been setting the standard for large-scale hardware improvisations for years – and the French live act UFO95, known for his polyrhythmic, IDM-inspired arrangements, Dasha Rush and Megan Leber are joining the ensemble. The latter is a Rotterdam-based producer and live performer who uses her Eurorack modular system, along with external hardware, as an intuitive source of sound. Her releases, such as those on Nous’klaer Audio and Stone Techno, navigate the tension between atmospheric ambient textures, subtle rhythms and dynamic techno sound design.
